Karnival of the Kidz
We have some awesome entries this week! Stories, pictures, stories and pictures, letters, stuff from when bloggers were kids, their kids, their nieces... we have it all here.
I posted these in the order I received them for the Karnival.
First, blog daughter Sissy of And What Next, has photos of her Early Chocolate Addiction! Yeah... we're DEFINITELY related... (By the way, she was a very smoochy baby!)
From my blog father Harvey, of Bad Example, we have this very cool black and white picture from his childhood along with a summary. I loved that he posted a picture of he and his Dad and if you're a loyal reader of his blog, you'll know his Dad was an awesome man. Anyway, is there anyone out there, other than you young bloggers, that DIDN'T own this swingset as a kid?!
Susie of Practical Penumbra has this picture of her niece. Make sure you go through the comments. Everyone has supplied their own ideas for captions. Good stuff!
Oddybobo of BoboBlogger has TWO submissions. A most excellent post on catching fireflies with her Dad. It has been suggested she submit this to the Carnival of the Vanities.
Her 2nd post is a picture of her and her folks. Check out her hair! She's so cute!!!
From Coturnix of Science and Politics we have Out of the Mouth of Babes. Boy, his daughter pegged this one right!
Blog sister Sally of Whimsy Capricious posts pictures of her Tara, and future wife of my son, Bones. I look at the top picture and think, "What would I have done if I'd had a girl?!!!" Yikes!
Jody of Iowa Geek has her latest photos of Brenna. I cannot believe that child is 6 months old already! I remember checking her blog hourly for updates when she was in labor. And what a happy baby Brenna is...
My link this week was to a past post on Bone's innoculations and Elmo's Underwear. I think just typing that in this post is sure to get me googled for it...
Jeff at Ponytailed Conservative has a great black and white photo of him and his first girlfriend. Of course, being the Bad Example family, there is much discussion in the comments as to the whereabouts of his missing hand in the picture!
From Blog daugter VW, we have this link to pictures of her kids decorating their father's birthday cake. Now, I'm sure it was yummy... but you just look at that youngest imp and ask yourself if you would eat any cake that baby touched! He is Trouble!
Jay of The Zero Boss has this story of his son and this new habit he is picking up. Of course it is being reinforced by his siblings... who are also encouraging Dad to blog on it!
Pam of Camp HappyBadFun has this picture of her oldest. Pictures like that bring back so many good memories. What a smoochy man.
Amy of Prochein Amy has this beautiful picture of her daughter at just weeks old and looking very wise. I think that baby has more hair than I do!
Donna of Primo Donna, who happens to be Prochein Amy's Mom... so we have a real Mom and Daughter blogging, which I think is very cool, posts a letter she received from Amy that is priceless. Let us hope we are all so fortunate to have our children think of us the way Amy does her Mom. Donna did something right...
And last but not least, from Army Wife Toddler Mom we have pictures of Dash and Pink Ninja. Her kids are so adorable. They need me to smooch their cheeks... and that whispy blonde hair!!!
Remember, deadline for next Karnival of the Kidz is next Sunday! The next hostess if the very funny Susie of Practical Penumbra.

Bou - thanks for that. Yes, that's exactly it, and is a known issue for a while now (I have the same trouble at all Mu Nu sites). Precise technical details, since I know you like techie stuff: Pixy is using an MT plugin called MT-Blacklist. The phrase "s!te.com" (with the "i") is banned for some reason (must've been a lot of spam from some site or sites with that ending). So, the problem isn't even unique to Mu Nu. It will occur at any blog on the MT platform that also uses the MT-Blacklist plugin.
Supposedly, you can customize the ban-list for your own MT-B plugin, and last I heard, Pixy was looking into it and... I dunno if he's considering that mod or not.
Thanks for the heads-up anyway, and thought you might enjoy knowing your educated guess was exactly on target.
