No Future In Fashion Design

I think my aperçu of the following picture is… “Village Idiot”.

Bones has less fashion sense than I have. At least I know as an adult to stick with solids. I hope he learns that lesson.

His father, the fashion plate, the man who knows all about clothes and who is being pursued by a local department store to do some modeling for them next year (my husband is a very nice looking man… a cross between a young Al Pacino, Andy Garcia, and a bit of George Clooney in the eyes), must have been completely horrified when Bones came out in this attire, fully expecting to wear this to Mass.

Of course he was then given a choice as to what was acceptable, but I burst out laughing when I saw him. I couldn’t help it.

I just would never have thought to put green and blue stripes with orange and white gingham…

OK, what am I missing? Looks just fine to me.

Shoulda noted: brought back memories of my own son's fashion sense at around that age. Impeccable, of course! At 22, it's still about the same... but better.

When I was a young teen, my mom stopped me from going out the front door wearing a multicolored striped shirt and a black and white spotted shorts. They were the most comfortable clothes I had! So they didn't match - :-D

Ahhh the memories. That outfit is actually a step up from what my boys would have picked out. I used to think it was hopeless...for life.

By the time they were 16 they were fashion plates. OK - blue jeans and tee shirts fashion plates, but still. No wrinkles and no spots. But best of all - no stripes/plaid combination. :-)

But it's great photo fodder in the meantime!!!

Soooo.... the stripes on the pants ruin the look?

Okay the outfit hurts to look at - too many alternating patterns going on - but you got to admit - he is such a pumpkin! I used to cry laughing at the pictures in the family calendar Morrigan had in her office. The boy is just a total pumpkin!

Okay - he's just too cute! ROFL. Only wait until he gets to high school and see what he comes up with then... in general it's hideous on purpose when they get older. *grin*
