If it Cracks...

My eldest was having problems changing batteries to a toy while he was sprawled on the floor, so I squatted down to help him.

Snap! Crackle! Pop!, both knees went simultaneously. My knees are loud.

Bones looked at me and said, “Mom, why do your leg knuckles crack so much?”

I stared back and hesitated and said, “Ummm… you mean my knees?”

Leg knuckles. I guess if anything makes noise, it’s a knuckle.

You gotta love kids ability to come up with appropriate body parts! Give him a big hug!

Oh that is a new one. My son just goes "What the heck is that noise mom?" Courtesy of my dad!

My leg knuckles do that too! I fear the day my brain knuckles make that sound...

I'm thinking "knuckles" is one of those inherantly funny words, like "pants" or "Kookamonga" :-)

did you tell him: "it was because your old and your joints are falling apart. The sound was due to the tendons and muscles starting to give way. One of these days you are going to just fall over on him and never be able to walk again."?

"Leg knuckles" Brilliant! Reminds me of when I told my mother I had a headache in my tummy.

You should seriously think about getting those Bones quotes on mugs and T-shirts!

I love the way kids can put words together. Leg Knuckles is great.

When Andy was little he called the stuff in the corner of his eyes when he woke up = eye wax.
