The Price You Pay...

... to live in Paradise... appears to be roughly $6000 a year.

Yeah. I just got my homeowner's insurance bill with our new Hurricane premium. Love that. LOOOOOOOVE that.

There's this packet on the back with hoops I can jump through for meeting the latest building code to bring down my insurance.

Guess I know what I'll be doing when I come back from vacation. In my spare time. Bah!

Well, at least you like your house :-) My mom is praying for a hurricane to wreck her place so she can file a claim! lol

And I gripe about our flood insurance ("high" because roughly 130 square feet of our property is in a flood plain).

Oh, well. At least you live in "paradise" eh?

I just dread the insurance on our new house. Ugh. You just made me want to jump out of a 5 story building.

Siss- :( Oh I know. That's a terrible story!

David- Yeah. Paradise. I keep telling myself that. Over and over... like a mantra.

VW- Don't do that! Your home owner's insurance won't cover it! That's LIFE insurance!!!

Wow, I'm glad I don't have to worry about that. Although the thought has been crossing my mind to move, this heat wave is killing me.

I am taking this "guess what I will be doing in my spare time?" question seriously and thinking .....

In your spare time, you could get a job at your local gentelman's club to pay for the upgrades.

AWTM- suddenly my little part time job has bigger implications. So much for saving for fun things like... vacations and porch furniture.

Ick...I know hun...giving hugs...although I do think you might change from your hell aroebics classes to "stripper pole dancing class" I hear they have those....you could really bring home some extra bacon.

LOL! I think the men would run in horror. I am horrible at dancing with a man let alone a daggum pole... although a pole wouldn't mind that I have a tendancy to lead. And then there's that whole, "I have a body that looks like a crumpled up old paper bag" issue... the lovely things three pregnancies can do to one's bodies. Sheesh! Being a Mom is not for the faint hearted for sure!

Ugh. You live out West and STILL pay out the nose for windstorm insurance? I'm dreading what my bill will be over here, less than a mile from the Intracoastal. I have to deal with that awful 'Citizens' insurance monopoly.

Have a fun on your trip back home. - George
