The Milk Corollary

The quantity of milk consumed in this household in one week is directly proportionate to the number of new cereals the boys have coerced either their father or me to purchase from Publix in the same week.

Cereal could be it's own food group!

Heheh... there was a time, when a meal was good for two gallons. Got dairy goats, and then it was a free for all... especially when it came to cereal. Until the hammer came down, my brothers and I would eat a box of cereal for breakfast. Each.

After time, a short time, that was severely frowned upon. But it didn't stop us. :)

T1G- Oh great. Something to look forward to! On a normal week, we go through about 2 Gallons of milk a week. On a 'new cereal week', we go through about 5.

During school, we go through some serious food.

Growing up with one older brother, when we were in our teens, a gallon a day was the norm. Every single day.

Memories: Childhood trips to the dairy (when we lived close enough to one to do this) with Mom to trade in our empty gallon milk jars for fresh-from-the-cow unpasturized whole milk. Skimmed cream, made butter, and five kids devoured the milk like crazy.

Two trips to the dairy a week were not uncommon.

maybe you should kill the hamster and buy a cow

Man, cereal is evil. I just bought two boxes of Fruit Loops. Fortunately, eating an entire box dry is 1560 calories. Is it sad that I know this by heart (and that my poo is florescent green)?
