My Definition of Hell

It is raining today here in West Palm Beach. I like the rain, it’s a nice break from the hot weather we have here typically. I’d not like living it 24/7 365 days a year, but a couple times a week is good for me, in particular if I don’t have to drive in it, and especially if it isn’t accompanied by 120 MPH winds.

Anyway, so I was thinking, I have cub scout camping next week. My three kids and I on an island… and if it rains. Holy crap. Three boys, me, a tent, on an island, in the rain… I have only one thing to say, “My Own Personal Hell”. That would suck.

...camping in the rain is not for the faint of heart... that's for sure... I enjoy it, but that's just me... but with three boys and a bunch of cub scouts?.. pray for sunshine, Bou... seriously...

Is it wrong to say "glad it's you and not me?"

Just plan on rolling in the mud. It all washes off eventually.

I'm with Ogre on this one...rain or shine you are making some fantastic memories here. What's a little mud between a mama and her babies ( is that easy for me to say with just one sweet 2 year old to handle??). :-)

I love camping in the rain! Especially thunderstorms. You can hold your hand up when the lightning strikes and it is almost as if you can see through to the bones. I always loved that as a kid!

Oh boy. Not for the faint of heart for sure! I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope you have sunshine... (But take a camera just in case! The cub/mud photos would be amazing I'm sure!)

Be prepared to sleep in the van. The last time I camped in the rain, we had to wring out the sleeping bags.

Good Luck. *snicker, snicker*

The last time we camped I was pregnant with Brenna and it rained- and was COLD- the whole weekend. It sucked! Make sure to take tarp to but under and over your tent- just to be safe!
