Houston, We have a Problem

We all make our decisions in life. My theory is we all do the best we can do as parents. If I screw it up, well, my kids have to learn to deal, and get therapy to fix it if they must. And they can hope to do a better job when it’s their time.

That said.

Holy crap.

This is so my Mom’s fault.

When Morrigan was giving me the ‘liquid low-down’ on packing all liquid less than 3 oz in a baggy to travel, I went to my purse and grabbed all my lip glosses and put them in a baggy.

But then I thought, “Wait. All lip stuff needs to stay together.”

Monk Moment.

So I threw in all the lip liners, lip sticks, lip balm with the glosses.

Upon looking at the bag I realized, ‘I think I have a problem. A lip make up addiction.’

And this is SOOOO my Mom’s fault!!! As we left the house as teenagers she would always say, “Where’s your lip stick.”

Or Morrigan’s favorite. The three of us were in the car. Mo didn’t have lipstick on and my Mom said, “Hmmm. One of us looks dead in here…” Heh. Love that.

Mom and Mo are good about changing out purses, lipsticks, even their ear rings. I wear the same gold post ear rings every day. I carry the same black purse unless I’m going someplace that requires a nice purse. And I carry ALL my lipsticks with me, formerly shoved in a pocket of my purse, now in a baggy, so I have any color at my whim.

Here is my addiction… for all to see. I think I should be ashamed. Instead I keep thinking, ‘I need more pink…’

6 lip liners
2 lip balms
5 lip glosses
6 lip sticks.

And a partridge in a pear tree...

That's okay. I blame Morrigan for a lot of my addictions.

You need one of those empty lipstick cases- you know the one- 6 empty spots that you fill with favorites. You know, kind of like the daily med holder in your grandmothers purse. :)

Heh...I'm the same way - I have about 8-9 lip items in my purse at any give time.
