Not In MY Backyard

I think the average American, in particular the Average Socialist American, would be appalled at how France is handling finding these terrorists if it was happening here with our Police.

They'd be all up in arms about race targeting and their personal rights.

Calling a Spade a Spade

I don't remember there being so many Socialists in America as I grew up.

They are everywhere. I was at a Boy Scout thing today and this woman I have known for years started telling me her political views. She said something to me and I said, "No, I get it. It's called Socialism".

She looked at me blank faced for a minute, surprised I'd called her a Socialist. And I repeated, "Your views have a name. Socialism."

We steered the conversation elsewhere.

This is not a dumb woman by any stretch. Yet she seemed stunned to be told her views were what they were.

Sitting on our Hands

I guess I'm at a loss as to why this suicide bombing thing isn't being taken care of brutally.

When they decide to go that route, they understand they are taking out innocent lives. We can do the same... just be more selective in what 'innocent' lives are taken.

If someone signs up to be a suicide bomber, it needs to be understood that their families will die in response. Parents, siblings, the family... done. And if that doesn't stop it after a few tries, expand the circle, grand parents, cousins, uncles and aunts. Age is irrelevant. Gone.

And just keep widening the circle, including any Imam they came in contact with.

I'd be Ok with salting the Earth as a final act.

Instead, we all seem to be wringing our hands.

I don't get it.

I'm frustrated. I have no where to vent. No place I can write how I feel about all this stuff our Nation is going through.

So many would be horrified about how I think we should handle this.

The Nation is divided. An election year is coming. I worry for my children.

I may dust this off... but it won't be what it was.
