Leon Rubinstein

I have written in the past of hearing a phenomenal speaker, Mr. Leon Rubinstein, a survivor of the holocaust.

If you live locally (northern Palm Beach County) and would like to hear him speak, please contact me. He is speaking on Tuesday night from 7 until 9 and I have the details. You can reach me at boudicah at hotmail dot com.

If you are local... you will not want to miss this. It is a blessing in life to be able to hear such people tell their stories.

It is of critical importance that as many people as possible get to hear these first-hand accounts of those terrible times. Even watching a video doesn't have quite the same impact as being there.

They're getting fewer in number every day, and some day soon they'll all be gone. We can't let the subsequent generations forget.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. If I lived in FL I would certainly make the drive to hear him speak.

count me in... call me when you get the chance. I would love to hear him...

Do you think someone would be willing to videotape his speech? That way, there would be a permanent record, in his own voice and words, to pass along to future generations.

Wish I lived closer, I'd be there in a heartbeat. I toured the Holocaust Museum in Houston, TX last fall. It was powerful. It was horrific. My two brothers (big, strong, grown men) and I silently dripped tears as we walked through the black and white photos, the few personal mementos, the ID cards, and the yellow Juden stars.

We must never forget, we must keep telling the stories and sharing the evidence.

I forgot to say "Thank You" for posting this! I hope you get a great turn-out for his speech.

Mary- Oh he's been taped! And he's been on our local station here. He is an AMAZING man. Plus, he wrote a fantastic book, which I bought and have been reading.

I scored 100 percent for journalism. Good thing, since I work for a newspaper.

But I'm surprised that math came in third, at 75 percent, since I consider myself an illiterate at math.
