Looking Into The Future

I was away for a conference this weekend and ended up wanting to do nothing more than sleep.

Holy crap.

I didnít know that drowsiness is a side effect of Celebrex, but it absolutely must be because I all I wanted to do was nap. Didnít matter what I didÖ I spent the entire time thinking, ďI could be sleeping in that big comfy bed right nowÖĒ

The conference went well. Iím in a group with a lot of older women. I have decided that:

1) I do not want to shrink. Iím 5í2Ē. Does this mean I will be 4í tall one day? NO!

2) I really donít want to wear old lady shoes, but I see them in my future. Can the Baby Boomers do something to make them stylish please? I know I say Iím not the fashionista, but I really have a tough time with those nasty beige/brown squarish lace up, vinyl/leather shoes. Someone. Please. Do something. I figure Iíll be in them in 10 years. Thatís 10 years for someone to get their proverbial shit together and come up with a stylish shoe for those with bad feet.

3) I have not embraced the fact I could be bald one day.

Good Lord. Iím going to be a 4í tall bald women with ugly shoes?

Is that my future?

Holy crap.

Well...yes. You're also going to have a full-gown beard, and wear diapers.

Heh- A friends grandmother was about your height. She was the cutest old lady....with thinning hair.

Not that I think you will go bald....but chances are, you'll be one of those cute old lady's. Not the big hairy ones like I will be. :)

Right now, the best shoes out there (comfortwise) for me are Clarks. Check 'em out when your ankles are better. I've got 2 pair and I love them.

Then, you can add pilates into your exercise routine - it will keep you from shrinking and will be excellent for your ankles. (you have plenty of time for this - I didn't start until 2 years ago - just keep it in mind for later)

Can't help you on the bald part though ;-)

The most comfy shoes I've ever put on are Mephistos. Go check them out. (They wear like iron!)

What exactly are comfortable shoes for women? I know not what that is. :-)

Order a catalog from this company.
If you order from them, what you order will fit.

The website does not have a complete selection.
Do not be scared off because of the prices.
Higher initial cost, low lifetime cost.
Quality tells.

"Women who wear comfortable shoes" is a euphemism, yannow...

I wear 3.5" wedges or heels, I have all my hair, (dyed but all mine) I'm still the same height and can out last my daughter any day. I'm a good 10 years older than you and have NO intentions of wearing sensible shoes! I'll wear a wig if need be, but looking ((or acting) my age in the near future WILL NOT HAPPEN!!
