Little Bug

The Fat Pookie.jpg

This is my sister's newest baby, 11 weeks old, with Bones. I call this baby... The Fat Pookie.

I hold her and I cannot quit laughing. She has JOWLS. And her thighs. Her little thighs are rolls and rolls of fat that are bigger than my bicep, on a tiny baby.

The other day we were skyping and my sister had her in a little white onesie with a pink tutu. I said to her, "She looks like one of those dancing hippos on Fantasia..."

Mo didn't laugh. She said I was being mean. OK, maybe she laughed when she said I was mean.

But the baby is a chunky monkey. When you see her, it makes your heart sing because she's just so dang awfully fat and cute.

Mo was playing with her today and she said to us, "I think the problem is I put her in horizontal stripes. She looks fatter in horizontal stripes... "

A baby fashion faux pas? Really? I'm not thinking vertical stripes are going to thin out that baby face or those chunky monkey thighs...

Bones said to me quietly, "Mom, she's going to have to lose some weight on her thighs. Look at those tiny feet. No way can they ever hold up those legs..." Bwahahahaha!

Needless to say, I am attached to this baby. We're all attached to her. I cannot get enough of her, holding her, kissing her, whispering to her how much we all love her. We're all madly in love.

She makes me laugh.

Relax, Bou's sister. Our daughter was such a chub that when I went to pick her up from daycare one day I found the caregivers all laughing at her and calling her "the Michelin Man. "

She's a stick now. 5'7" and 105 lbs. But I still have the baby pics for blackmail purposes. :D

My granddaughter was a chunky one, too. Would LOVE to pinch those thighs. But she's thinning out quickly now that she's walking!!

When Little Man was born, he was the same way. Chubby baby. Everyone told me he wasn't fat, he was Fluffy.

Oh, and I have some great photo ideas for the little ones, too....if you would be able to check your email?

Betcha if you dropped her, she'd bounce like a Super Bsll.

And I also bet that she'll be skinny as a rail by the time she hits ten years old.

Oh, she's adorable! And I bet she'll thin right out; two of the grandkids looked like little michelen men when they were babies, but they're rail thin now.

She's a cutie...my daughter was like that. We called her 'Sumo baby' for awhile. Had to lift up her chins to be sure to get her clean under her neck! My daughter is a teen now, and definitely no Sumo baby anymore.

So cute... I had to laugh. My sister is 90 lbs wet and her daughter was... 10 lbs 13 oz! Now that chubby tubby is taller than her mom, skinny, with big feet.
