Quilting Hell #1029348098

We were in the class (Ref my weather post as to my quilting hell on Saturday), it was near the end, and my girlfriend next to me said, "Oh my gosh. Neil Armstrong died..."

And from the back of the room someone said, "You know, they just took his seven titles away..."

I was speechless. I stopped sewing, looked to the back of the room and someone said finally, "That would be LANCE Armstrong. This is Neil. The astronaut..."

It was yet another reason I'll not be doing another seven hour quilting deal. I want to chalk it up to all that sewing turned her brain to mush... but I'm not sure.

I spent the next hour, blurry eyed, sewing, thinking, "She votes..."

Could be she's simply hard of hearing.

Grau told me Armstrong had died and I was shocked. I know I shouldn't be...everyone dies. But some people you just think will live forever.

And when he told me, I said, 'Really? He was just here speaking at some luncheon...or maybe will be in the next couple of weeks...idk. Or won't be, now.'

Turns out, it's Buzz Aldrin that's going to be here. Right profession, even the right mission, but I had the wrong guy in my head.

Yak- I caught that on MSN! I was stunned when I read it happened!

Roses- She's not. Good question. She just didn't get it. She was probably about my age, not that people my age aren't hard of hearing, but I even wondered if it was all the sewing machines. But she truly didn't get it. Someone said something to her about it.

Rave- If you get a chance to listen to Buzz Aldrin speak, you should. I heard him and it was great.

Some of the news stations were reporting that Neil Young died.

One of the political groups I follow posted tweets from younger people were thinking that Lance Armstrong had died.

*shudder*

Bou - I doubt she actually votes. It probably isn't important enough to her.
