The Beginning of the End

It's one thing for me to predict something.

It's another to watch it unfold.

We're all in trouble.

I'd love to think that tomorrow I'd want to delete this, but it ain't happening.

I just need to find a better f*'ed up country.

On a positive note, I know a diehard 'never voted for a Republican before' Democrat (small business owner) and today for the first time ever, he did not vote party line. And he was PISSED. He was absolutely furious that he has hated the current administration so much he could not vote again for it... and he hates the Republican ticket, but felt he had no choice.

So angry doesn't even begin to describe his vote. I'll tell him tomorrow, "Cheer up, you did your part. Now you can tell all your friends who voted party line, as this Country goes to hell, that you did your part and they let it happen".

Yeah, I feel that strongly about it. That's my political post for the year. If people only truly understood what was happening to small businesses...

Good night.

Right there with you, FWIW.

What we're facing is difficult and disappointing... but don't give up. Just... don't.

I remember your post from 4 years ago - something like I wish him well and that he try not to get us killed. That stuck with me. I am beyond sick.

People are going to die in the next four years. Americans. More Americans than have already given their lives in those far flung countries of Iraq and Afghanistan. I suspect Americans will die on OUR soil this time. I don't know if it is even preventable anymore. I don't know if Romney could have prevented it. I was just hoping... he'd have a shot.

I never vote on social issues, not for President. I vote on National Defense and the Economy. Those two things alone have a long term impact on my children and grandchildren. Gay marriage and abortion do not.

I'll grow numb to it...

And... FTR, Israel is in trouble now. The Europeans will let the Jews die. Anti-semitic is what they are. Look at the cold reception the Obama Admin received from frickin' Germany regarding economic sanctions against Iran. Germany and the rest only really care about their economy and on their long list of 'things I care about' the Jews are way down at the bottom. I'm not sure why people think there was this 180 done since the holocaust. Just because people don't come out and say the politically incorrect "I hate the Jews" doesn't mean they don't feel it. The absolute apathy to the plight of Israel by the European Union should speak for itself.

Israel will stand alone soon, unless Congress, both house and senate, completely step up to the plate.

Then again, what the f*** do I know? I'm just a mathematician. We'll see how far off I am in four years. Maybe my crystal ball is cloudy...

I completely agree, Bou. I think we're all in deep chit. And I agree about Israel as well. It makes me sick.

I think we need to give people a basic civics test before they're allowed to cast a vote. Seriously, most people couldn't tell you what the three branches of government are, but they can tell you who is winning on American Idol, or some such nonsense. Pisses me off to no end.
