Life Goes On...

As somewhat anticipated.

A major Fortune 500 company had a lay off today, the day after elections. I happen to do work for said company. Interesting that they waited until the day AFTER elections for the lay off. Coincidence? I think not.

Meanwhile, last week I was told I was safe until mid 2014 and today, the day after the election, I was told we have a hiring freeze and I might not be.

I'm not sure I care anymore. Seriously. At some point you just realize... it can and will get worse and you just hang on and hope you can ride it out.

So. There you go. I'm sure there will be more to come.

Been thinking of you, wondering what/if/how.

Here, Charleston is a big Boeing town and they finally came forward with their announcement, also convenient.

I binged tonight. But tomorrow is another day and it will continue to have a sun rise and my kids will continue to make me laugh and yell at them. We'll see how it goes. Christmas might be a little rough this year.

You know what pisses me off? All these companies played the Obama political line. Nobody wanted to announce before the election because they were asked not to. Why am I even surprised.

LockMart is the only one who has come clean... they just flat told everyone last month they were on notice. They'll decide who after 1 Jan when sequestration takes effect.

And guess what? It's coming. They aren't going to fix this, not in time. If I hear one more Pollyanna say, 'Oh, they won't let that happen', I might frickin' scream. Where the f*ck do they live? What planet is that and what are they smoking, 'cuz I want to visit and they need to share.

It's coming. The Republicans are pissed they lost. The Democrats are full of themselves because they remain in control. It is going to be nasty, in the mud dirty and we the American people will lose because Congress isn't losing their medical, their vacation time, and they still get paid.

We're just pawns in their political chess game. And we're going to lose.

You can sit by me. I feel the same way.
And don't think for a minute the spin will be 'it's the Republican's fault because they didn't work with the Dems'

Same shit. Different Day.
Unfortunately, as you stated, we are the pawns in their political games. WE lose. Not them.

Nobody wins but the regime, not even the selfish buggers who voted themselves free phones and healthcare. As if anything is free...

As a small business owner who works with public safety agencies . . . the results were bad news indeed. And I truly wasn't surprised about the Boeing announcements. But then I, like you and many of the other readers/commenters on this blog, have been paying attention. Woe to those who can't see the forest for the trees!

What this American plans to do is ENDURE and speak out where I can. And most of all PRAY. I love this country and I want it BACK!

You will be in my prayers. Hope things go positively for you. I do fear for my beloved country and the people I love.

I would like to express appreciation to this writer just for bailing me out of this problem. As a result of scouting throughout the the web and finding techniques that were not helpful, I thought my life was over. Being alive without the presence of approaches to the problems you have fixed through the website is a serious case, as well as the kind that could have adversely damaged my entire career if I had not noticed your blog. That know-how and kindness in controlling all the details was excellent. I don't know what I would've done if I had not discovered such a step like this. I can now look forward to my future. Thanks very much for the skilled and sensible guide. I will not think twice to endorse your web sites to any person who wants and needs direction on this issue.

More to come for sure. Everyone I know is in lifestyle change survival mode. Plan B mode. I know many people who do many different things to put bread on the table. My technical friends are in trouble, my doctor friends are in trouble, my real estate friends are in trouble. Heck, everyone is in trouble. What a mess.
