Driving And Crying

We are home. I've been gone for three weeks and have decompressed so much that I can't remember my passwords for work. Hmmm...

We were talking at dinner tonight and something came up about Bones being a senior.

He said, "OH.My.GOD. Can you imagine me being a senior in high school?"

My husband looked at him and said, "It will go quickly. That's just two years."

T and Bones were laughing.

I was sitting there thinking, 'OH.My.God. Who cares that he will be a senior in two years? He is going to be driving... THIS.YEAR!"

GAH!

He takes the Algebra EOC on Wednesday. He will fail again. I'm waiting to see what the School District does next.

In Washington he could substitute a fairly minimal math SAT score for his EOC passing. You might check the rules in Florida.

My son is going into 11th grade, and has no real interest in driving yet. Which is good, from my point of view. My wife is more interested in him doing that, as she could use his help getting around sometimes.

Our daughter completed her driver's ed classes her junior year of h.s. but didn't get licensed until three years later, and that took two tries. What failed her the first time was that she creeped out of a corner before committing to the turn. Never mind that there was a four-foot tall snow bank she couldn't see around.
